Born and raised in the streets of Flint, MI, he started writing songs at the age of 13. After years of perfecting his craft, he began producing notable beats while being featured on albums by Michigan rap artists. In the early 90s, he created the musical group "Nickle Bag." Their talents were quickly noticed by the heads of the music industry. Shortly thereafter, a record deal was on the table. However, due to a breakdown in communication during the negotiating process with management, the deal fell through, and group members went their separate ways. A few years later, with intentions of starting his career over, he moved to Memphis, TN. He got the ball rolling with features with formal artist of Three Six Mafia  (Chrome) ( LiL Whyte)  (Kingpin Skinny Pimp) and also appeared on a song called " We are the ones" featuring LiL Kee Kee out of Texas. His song "Ballers World" got the attention of a local record label called Loot Chase Records. These were the connections that opened the door to getting into the right places with the right people. After collaborating with a new label called Rap Hustlaz, he was able to land a feature on a track called "Kick in Your Door"  featuring  Skinny Pimp, Indo G, Kia Shine, and Jewel Santez. Tez Deontay's other artist name was Bugsy at the time. The Rap Hustlaz label took off while the artists from the Lootchasers label worked on material to be released while still doing features. His time in Memphis was a learning experience. He ultimately decided being an indie artist was the best way to go. He is currently releasing new projects, and to this day, he has never stopped making music. He took breaks, but never stopped. As a seasoned artist in the music industry, he said there are so many tools and freedom now to build your fanbase,  it would be crazy not to put out music if you still have that drive for it.
